Happy Everything!

Holidays and festivals mean teachable moments for your children.

The school year is full of special celebrations and occasions which can sometimes occur without notice due to the lack of time. But these occasions can be exploited with your kids to enhance the knowledge of your own history, traditions and customs, to help the understanding of other countries’ culture and traditions as well as working contents at the same time.

Help your children celebrate every month with these monthly headbands ready to print and use.

They are great for specific holidays or anytime you want to have some fun with your kids.

These are some possible questions:

What happens in July?

What do we celebrate on..?

Why do we celebrate it?

Why is it important for us?

When is it celebrated?

How was it celebrated?

What is its origin?

Who is remembered? Why?

What did she/he do?

Where and when did he / she do ?

They can look for information about special dates. The project could take the whole school year.

Some of my goals:

To reflect on relevant dates in different countries

To foster understanding of other cultures

To teach the celebrations through the curriculum
