No Prep Grammar Resources for Primary Classrooms

We all know how challenging it can be to teach grammar – particularly if you’re teaching students for whom English is not their first language. But with these no prep grammar resources, your students will be grammar pros in no time!

There are a wide variety of no prep grammar options to choose from in my TpT store, but today we’re going to focus on the verb “to be”.

Your 1st or 2nd grade students can become grammar experts while working on the verb “to be”. With your purchase you get various words to help your students with review and sorting.

These words are great for pocket charts, whole class discussion, small group work, RTI, review, literacy and ELA centers or stations, and more. The simplicity of my resources gives you options to differentiate them to best fit the needs of your students.

The fact that you get black & white options AND color versions means you can save on ink or create colorful centers to laminate and reuse from one year to the next.

After discussion and mastering the cards, your students will complete the three printable worksheets. These have students created “super sentences” and also work on sentence completion. It’s a great way to begin using their new “to be” grammar skills in a real-life, applicable way. (And there are different options to print – so choose which ones best fit your student or classroom needs.)

The best part about this particular resource? It’s totally FREE! You can grab it by clicking here

To get even more out of your grammar instruction, you can grab these FREE grammar posters
